Lara was raised in Southern Spain by German parents and has since lived and worked in several countries, including Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Ethiopia and the U.S. For the past 12 years she has been working for a variety of international organizations focusing on providing access to improved infrastructure services for the poorest and most vulnerable people across Asia and Africa. She is currently managing an award winning electrification engagement in Ethiopia focusing on providing access to electricity and also bridging the gender gap across the energy sector.

Lara believes long-lasting changes can only happen when they occur in a systematic manner like through tackling wealth discrimination in the justice system and is honored to be part of the Equal Justice Under Law family supporting this cause. She lives between Washington D.C., her home town Marbella (Spain) and Ethiopia. In her free-time she likes to gather with family and friends over home cooked dinners, go to the gym or for long walks in her neighborhood.
